Walk the floor.
See the Wi‑Fi.
FiMapper is a passive Wi‑Fi site survey app for network engineers. Click where you're standing on the floor plan and it scans every BSSID it can hear, then turns the readings into heatmaps, coverage findings and RX‑SOP recommendations.
Built for the laptop you already survey with.
MacFiMapper is written natively for macOS. WinFiMapper is a faithful port for Windows: the same surveys, heatmaps and planning tools, at home on a Windows laptop. Both open the same survey files, so a team can mix Macs and PCs on one survey and edit it at the same time over SMB, OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox.
From the first scan to the finished plan.
Measure what's really there.
Load a PNG, JPEG or PDF floor plan, set its scale and click to scan. Every point takes several passes across 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz.
- Heatmaps for primary and secondary RSSI, SNR and co‑channel count, per AP and per band
- Filter by band, SSID and AP, with colour bands set to your own design targets
- Insights flag coverage holes, secondary gaps, low SNR and co‑channel contention, each linked to its points on the map
Plan the site before you walk it.
Predict coverage from AP position, power, antenna and walls. Plan a new building from its drawings, or set prediction beside measurement on a site you've already surveyed.
- Draw walls by material, or detect them from the line work in vector PDF plans
- Doors, windows and openings with their own loss and heights
- Real antenna patterns, matched to your AP models automatically
- Stack floors into one building, so predictions include the APs above and below
See coverage from every angle.
Floors, walls and APs carry real heights. Spin, pan and zoom around a single floor or the whole building.
- Walls, APs and antenna beams in 3D while you set up
- Heatmaps laid flat or raised as terrain
- Signal volume: predicted coverage sliced at several heights through a floor
- Every stacked floor of the building in one view
